We understand the challenges
facing the automotive industry

The automotive industry places some of the highest demands on engineering springs:

Tight tolerances, a large number of load cycles, extreme temperature and vibration conditions, and, at the same time, increasing pressure to reduce weight and costs. Every spring must function throughout the vehicle’s entire lifecycle, every batch must be of consistent quality, and every manufacturing step must be documented and traceable.

We provide the process reliability your supply chain expects.

01
Tight Tolerances & Reproducibility

Automotive components require spring forces and geometries within tightly defined tolerances, batch after batch. Our process monitoring and SPC analysis ensure that every batch meets specifications.

02
Certification

We operate according to the strictest standards:

Our ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications guarantee you maximum process reliability, the highest product quality, and responsible use of resources.

03
Corrosion & Temperature

From the engine compartment to the underbody, springs are exposed to heat, splashing water, and road salt. We select materials and surface treatments appropriate for the installation location, ranging from stainless spring steel to zinc-laminate coatings.

04
Fatigue Strength & Vibration

Inside the vehicle, spring components are constantly subjected to vibrations, temperature fluctuations, and dynamic loads. We design the geometry, material, and preload to meet the required service life.

05
Traceability & Documentation

The automotive supply chain expects complete documentation, from the material batch to the test report. Our manufacturing processes are designed to fully meet these requirements.

Areas of Application

We manufacture precision components for key areas of modern vehicles, exactly according to your drawings, samples, or specifications.

From Prototype to "
" Production Part

From prototype to mass production in record time. Are you developing a new component for the automotive industry? We can quickly produce samples for you or advise you on prototype manufacturing so you can test the spring force and fit in real-world conditions. This helps you minimize your risk before starting mass production.

The Sketch / Idea

Do you have an idea, a rough sketch, or a 2D/3D drawing for a new mounting bracket?? We review your functional requirements and advise you on the optimal design . Even at this stage, we take into account the installation situation, available space, and environmental conditions, in order to streamline the subsequent manufacturing process.

Technical Spring Prototypes by Alfred Weigel, Manufacturer of Technical Springs

Before your part goes into production, we’ll quickly produce prototype parts or a small batch to verify its functionality.. This allows you to test spring force, holding force, and fit directly on the object. This minimizes your development risk, refines the geometry, and provides you with maximum assurance before the start of series production.

Technical Springs in Small Batches from Alfred Weigel, Manufacturer of Technical Springs

Once approval is granted, we will transition seamlessly to mass production. With continuous process monitoring, we process certified materials to ensure long-term stability. Upon request, you can receive your components ready for assembly or in special packaging tailored to your logistics needs..

Questions and Answers: Technical Springs for the Automotive Industry

What information do you need to provide a quote?

Ideally, a drawing (2D/3D) or a sample part. Additional information such as the installation situation, desired spring force, available space, quantity, and operating environment (e.g., outdoors, salty air) is also helpful.

We provide you with detailed guidance on prototype development and, based on this, deliver samples or a small production run for functional validation before seamlessly transitioning to mass production.

We process all standard spring steels in accordance with EN 10270, as well as stainless spring steels such as 1.4310 or 1.4401. Surface treatments range from electroplated coatings to zinc lamella systems and PTFE coatings, tailored to the installation position and corrosion requirements.
