Trust us as an experienced manufacturer of technical springs

Delivery Ready for Assembly

Less parts handling thanks to defined units and picking logic.

Fewer interfaces

You receive the spring, clip/stamped part, and pre-assembled unit from a single source instead of from multiple suppliers

Custom-made to suit the function

The geometry and spring characteristics are tailored to the installation space, load, and operating environment

Quick Overview: Assembly & Subassembly Production for Springs

Assembly: Alfred Weigel Spring Factory - Technical Spring Manufacturer
Assembly/Pre-assembly (Final Assembly)

If you already use standardized assembly processes, we’ll handle the pre-assembled preparation:

  • We place, position, and secure the springs, sort the different variants, and assemble the kits according to your piece-count logic.

The result is a delivery format that integrates seamlessly into the receiving and assembly processes without requiring any additional sorting or counting steps.

Subassembly Manufacturing (Functional Unit)

If you need a ready-to-install functional unit, we don’t just supply the spring “as an add-on”—we include it as an integral part of the assembly.

  • This can be a spring mechanism, a clip module, or a combination of a stamped and bent part and a spring.

We tailor everything to your specifications and to how it will be handled later in production.

Delivery condition: ready for assembly and tailored to your production process, compatible with your picking logic, variant management, and packaging unit.

Practical Examples from Assembly Manufacturing

How assembly production works in practice depends on the function, the installation situation, and the components involved. Typically, individual parts from our production or supplementary parts from suppliers are combined into a unit ready for installation.

Assembly: Alfred Weigel Spring Factory - Technical Spring Manufacturer
Assembled unit consisting of a sheet metal part and a wire-formed part

For example, we manufacture a sheet metal part and a wire-formed part and then assemble them into a single product. This way, the customer receives not loose individual components, but a pre-assembled unit ready for immediate further processing.

Assembly & Subassembly Manufacturing: Industrial springs and supplied components as functional units
Industrial spring and supplied component as a functional unit

In other cases, we manufacture the spring and add a supplied component—such as a rod—to it. This component is inserted into the spring to create a finished functional unit.

Technical springs integrated into another component

We incorporate springs into other components, such as rubber tubing. Alternatively, we add a spring or a bent part from our own production to parts provided by the customer.

We tailor our assembly services to your needs

We handle the specific assembly steps so that the components arrive at your location ready for assembly and in the desired configuration.

And optionally:

Custom Springs

Custom manufacturing based on drawings, samples, or specifications

For us, “custom-made” means:

  • Engineering springs, wire-formed parts, clips, and stamped and bent parts manufactured according to drawings, samples, or specifications, designed precisely for your application.

Especially when installation space is limited, spring characteristics are specified, or installation situations are unique, off-the-shelf products are rarely the right solution.

Instead of “making something fit,” we manufacture the component so that its function, installation space, and spring force/stroke are all compatible from the start. This also includes clear version control for purchasing and production.

We support you in the transition from prototyping and small-batch production to mass production.

From Inquiry to a Ready-to-Install Assembly

To ensure that assembly production and custom manufacturing can be seamlessly integrated into your processes, we follow a transparent procedure.

1
Inquiry and Database

Please send us a drawing, 3D data, or a sample part and describe the function the assembly is intended to perform in your assembly process. Additional information regarding quantity, variants, packaging specifications, and picking logic is helpful.

2
Technical Coordination and Delivery Format

We clarify the assembly sequence, the fastening method, the variant options, and the desired delivery format. This ensures that we determine early on how the assembly will be delivered to you in a manner that aligns with your production process.

3
Pre-production model, prototype, or direct start of series production

Depending on the project status, we first finalize the design using samples or prototypes, or proceed directly to mass production. This creates a solid foundation for approval and delivery.

4
Approval and Mass Production

Upon approval, we deliver units or assemblies ready for installation in the specified configuration, with appropriate packaging, labeling, and direct allocation for goods receipt and production.

Questions and Answers on Assembly, Subassembly Manufacturing, and Custom Manufacturing

What is the difference between assembly, pre-assembly, and subassembly production?

During assembly or pre-assembly, springs are inserted, positioned, secured, or assembled into kits. In subassembly production, we deliver a functional unit in which the spring is already an integral part of the subassembly—for example, as a spring mechanism, a clip module, or a combination of a stamped and bent part and a spring.

Drawings, 3D data, or a sample part are ideal. Additionally, information on quantity, variants, packaging requirements, and details regarding the desired picking logic in your production process is helpful.

Yes. We manufacture technical springs, wire-formed parts, clips, and stamped and bent parts based on drawings, samples, or specifications. This is particularly useful when installation space, spring characteristics, or the application do not allow for a standard solution.

We tailor the delivery format, product variants, fastening methods, packaging units, and handling to your processes. This ensures that the parts arrive at your facility ready for assembly and in a manner that aligns with your processes.

Yes. Upon request, we can perform inspections according to your specifications, as well as labeling, special packaging, and transport protection, all tailored to your logistics and manufacturing processes.
